This wine is a faithful expression of its terroir within Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the famous clay soils with "galets roulés" (rolled pebbles) that characterize the region.
The low yields (25 hl per hectare) gives the wine more structured and balanced, and concentrated aromas and flavors. Matured for 12 months in French oak barrels (with 20% new oak), followed by another 12 months in concrete vats, ensuring complexity and integration. Limited production of 8000 bottles.
The 2021 vintage is noted for its dark, garnet red color. On the nose, it offers primary aromas crushed sour cherries and fresh berries, complemented by notes of vanilla and liquorice. The palate is described as having a warm and broad presence, high concentration with well-intergrated tannins. It's a dense and muscular wine with a long, bold finish. This wine has excellent aging potential.
